ooh juz got back from freshmen orientation camp which was held @ Aloha Loyang Chalet fr 25th-27th july 06!!! thou we were all tired fr e lack of slp n burnt fr long hours under e sun...but i made many frenz @ dis event...let mi tell u wat happened over e 3 days!!
1st day (25/07/06)
woke up @ 6am coz we're meeting @ 8am @ pasir ris mrt station!! had breakfast den left hse...reached pasir ris mrt @ 7.55am!! when i reached...quite a no of guys n a girl wearing green tees were alr dere!! mi ogl (kenny) came forward n took attendance!! he told us to interact wif each other but all of us remained quiet!! haha meishan arrived slightly passed 8am n she was happy to see mi in e same grp as her!!! both of us were in e same grp on orientation day...n it was really great to see a familiar face being in e same og again!! haha by e time e whole og arrived...it was abt 8.20am le!!! while waiting...we girls started introducing ourselves!! after tt we proceeded to aloha loyang...meishan n i n 2 others sat kenny's car back since he drove down to meet us!! along e way...e 4 of us continued introducing ourselves n oso toked abt our course n stuff!! when we reached aloha...we stood under e shade to wait for others to arrive!! @ near 9am...e rest of mi og arrived n we queued to give our secret pal presents to e exco members!! after which...we sat down in a circle in e tentage n were told to introduce ourselves but sumhow our voices cut off sumwhere!! mi ogls (kenny n jean) gave out stuff tt can represent our og...a shoe lace n a badge!! den we were assigned our jobs...girls designed our og flag n e guys tot of cheers!! we completed everyting by 11am...n we were finally told to go settle in our rooms after a short briefing!! guys n girls separated into 2 rooms...we rest for a while b4 hafing lunch @ e living rm!!! we had a box of rice wif sum meat n vegetables on it for lunch...but e more interesting part was e re-introduction again!! haha obviously mi ogls had a hard time remembering our names!! ooh did i mention kenny left us bcoz he had sum personal matters to handle...so a new ogl (ian) took over!! after lunch..we played many games along pasir ris beach fr 12+ till 4+pm!! tt was how many of us were burnt...games stopped after tt n we went back to our rooms for shower!! mi og had dinner together in e living rm...den we proceeded to e tentage for sum auction wif e points we collected fr e games played!! haha mi og gt e highest points of 10800 n we changed e pts for quite like camp chairs, portable headrests, party poppers n sum tidbits!! e auction was quite fun thou abit draggy...den came e moz exciting SP (secret pal) preview!! haha exciting?? hmm mi og was to tok on e fone wif pple fr e og 8...guys tok 2 girls n vice versa!! guys toked 1st while girls stayed in our rm...neville came in secretly to tok 2 us after his call!! we're not allowed to haf any interaction wif e guys...but anywae it was girls' turns to tok n everybody were very nervous!! after everybody's calls...we gathered in e guys' rm to chat!! we toked till 10+ den went back to our room to slp!!!
2nd day (26/07/06)
was told to wake up 6.45 but we ended waking up @ 6.35am!! haha had breakfast (e usual stuff we had for lunch n dinner e day b4) den proceeded to e tentage to learn e SP dance!! as usual...we were early so SRC chairman ben came to tok 2 us!!! all other ogs came in by 8+ am n we started learning e dance!!! well it seemed ez but e hardest part is rmbing dose steps!! we learnt till 10+ n everybody were alr perspiring even b4 e main event of e day!! after tt we rest for a while b4 starting on our journey for e treasure hunt!!! kenny joined us for dis game...we hafta move ard town area n tt means transport fare cost alot!!! haha nt only tt...we oso had to do forfeits tt r enuff to attract attention!!! sum forfeits we did include doing e SP dance along e road outside raffles city n singing a song @ raffles place!! haha quite stupid but i kinda enjoyed e experience...we were supposed to end by 4.30pm but we wanted to finish 7 stations so we ended @ 5+pm instead!! our last station was @ fort canning park...bcoz we were e last grp so game masters helped us towards e end!! haha after tt...we divided into 4grps to share cab back to e chalet while our ogls went wif e game masters!! i shared wif meishan jaslyn n chariene n we discussed abt our cheers along e way...all of us reached back aloha @ 6pm!! we bathed n gathered to haf our "last dinner" together @ 7pm!!! haha dinner ended @ 8pm den we went to e tentage for a briefing regarding e treasure hunt n e upcoming SP review!!! we gathered in e guys' rm to chat b4 dey went off to meet their SPs...haha dunno if shld sae we're excited or nervous lah!! we girls sat in e living rm wif e curtains closed...making us feel like sum match-making or sth!! haha our SPs were fr og 8 n dey all guessed wrong partners so dey had to do forfeit by singing "tong hua"!!! haha we finally met our SPs n we went to e tentage to chat!!! when everybody gathered in by 9+...we did e SP dance which we had learnt!! after e dance @ 10+pm...we went back to our rooms to rest for a while b4 gathering in e tentage again!! den we spent e rest of e time playing games wif our SP og while other ogs went for their SP walk ard pasir ris park!! initially it was juz we 2ogs playing...den we combined wif 2 other ogs to play games!! can u believe it?? we played games all e way till 1+am nearly 2am!! haha after which we gathered wif our respective SPs den walked to pasir ris park to start e SP walk!!! e whole walk lasted more den 30mins n we had to go thru many stations along e way...we oso had to exchange e SP gifts @ e end of it b4 we went back to our chalets!! because 1 of e exco member was gg 2 drive e lorry back...so he offered to give us a lift!!! tts prob e 1 n only time i sat in a lorry...haha we reached back abt 4.40am!!! after stoning for a while...we went to bed @ 5am coz hafta be up by 7.30am!!!

only closed eyes for 2hrs+ n hp alarms started to ring alr!!! haha we had bk breakfast (1 of e best meal in e 3days) den gathered in e guys' rm again to chit chat!!! dis time...all 3ogls joined us...n dey were sort of persuading us to join SRC n oso to go 4 e DXO party dis sat!!! even a few exco members came in n toked 2 us abt dose 2 matters...den we packed our stuff n left our rooms @ 9+ to gather @ e tentage!!! we had a bit of cheer practice b4 e main ting started...muz sae tt our cheer is rather gd despite being last minute!! haha we ended e cheer wif e poppers we gt fr e audition!!! dere was oso e description of e og flag to be done!! during e prize-giving...og8 won e best cheer while we (og3) won e best og!!! haha so super happy lah...our reward is $100 nydc voucher!! considered gg for lunch after e camp but we were too tired to go!! so we set on meeting up on 13th aug for a gathering!! we took a few more pics wif e exco of SRC den separated ways...i shared a cab wif ken wayne n jaslyn!!
jaslyn, jacintha, meishan, chariene, lisa, yingyu, zhiyi, james, neville, wayne, ken, alex, lewis, ryan, herry n our 3ogls (jean, kenny, ian)...i wanna thank all dese pple for cuming into mi life n making e camp such a happening n memorable event!!! i hope we can haf more gatherings soon...thanks alot to u all!!!
